Kitty Cats and Hashbrowns

So this past Saturday morning,I took Scott to work so that Maggie and I could have the car for the day.Of coarse, she spotted the Golden Arches. It is after all right next to Daddy's work.So she tells me that she wants a hashbrown. It is amazing and/or sad that she knows what she can get at McDonalds according to what time of day it is.So anyway,I pull into the drive thru, order breakfast, drive to the first window, pay.drive to the second window, get breakfast and then proceed to be on our way.In case you were wondering, this is where it gets a little interesting.Standing in the drive thru lane is a big yellow cat.And he would not move. So,if you know me,you can maybe guess what I did next.Yep that's right.I parked the car and got out.The cat then came to me like we were long lost friends.(Reunited And It Feels So Good)Yeah,I'm singing this.So of coarse I do the next logical thing and pick him(yes I checked) up.His little motor was runnin'!So then this kid that works at McDonalds asks me"Do you know this cat?".And I so wanted to say,"Why no,I don't believe we have ever met!How do you do?".And shake the cats paw.But instead I just said no.He then tells me that the cat has been hanging around the parking lot for the past three days.So I tell him that I work at an animal hospital and that I would be willing to take care of him.So then we get in the car.Now I am wondering how he is going to respond once we are moving.Because if you know anything about cats you know that they just don't usually appreciate riddin' in a car so much. But do you know what he did?He got right on my lap and layed on his back!He rode this way until we were almost to the clinic where I work.He then deceided that my hashbrown looked and smelled pretty tasty.Who knows the last time he ate!So he then moved over to the passenger seat and sat there so nicly while I fed him the other half of my hashbrown.Well then we got to the clinic and I got him a cage all fixed up with a litter box, food, water and of coarse a fluffy blanket for a bed.He was in heaven! He ate the entire bowl of food in about five minutes!I think he was hungry. So,I gave him a refill on the food a hug and I was on my way. So,he had a pretty good weekend from a cat's point of view.Today at work I had one of the vet's exam him and give him his vaccines because he was going to go live at my mom and dad's house.Well during the exam we discovered that his right front paw is injured. How sad! So,tomorrow he will go off to kitty dream land with a light sedative so that they can figure out what is going on.I will keep you posted as I know that you will be on the very edge of your seet with anticipation. And if I can figure out how,I will put a picture of him on here.So there you go!Oh and by the way. Since he is the color of hashbrowns,he likes to eat hashbrowns and he was rescued while I was getting hashbrowns, his name is Hashbrown Halterman.

You're darn right we want to know what's going on, even if it sounds silly or mundane. If anything it reminds me a bit of home, which I'm really missing right now.
I love the cat story. Weird how such nice animals end up in strange places. Glad you rescued him. Hashbrown... I love it!
